Myrrh Oil - (30ML) (1OZ) Commiphora myrrha or C. molmol - Sanskrit name: BolaWe offer Myrrh from several countries. India / Oman /Somalia / Kenya / Ethiopia The Myrrh you are getting is Kenyan.Scent: Bitter rich spicy balsamic Description: The name derives from the Arabic murr which means bitter. It has been used throughout history as a healing and purifying agent. The oil is obtained from the resin of the commiphora bush which grows near the Red Sea. The oil is thick and pale yellow. Its pure form does not contain ammonia which deprives the oil of therapeutic value. Uses: As a stomatitis (in rose H2O) parasitic stomatitis or thrush dyspepsia amenorrhea chlorosis atonic uterine dis (+iron and vegetable bitters) chronic bronchitis asthma ulcerations sore throat purulent ophthalmia menstrual disorders. Pure myrrh can be mixed with a carrier oil and applied externally for skin problems. It can also be mixed with water to relieve throat and gum problems. Its scent is soothing and mollifying and has been used to relieve nervous disorders. Ayurvedic use: Pharmacological Action: stimulant expectorant emmenagogue externally astringent aromatic Western Uses: Myrrh - Myrrh has a sharp balsamic scent. Traditionally known for its religious uses along with Frankincense. During ancient times both Frankincense and Myrrh were such sought after oils that they became difficult to obtain thus making them as valuable as gold. It may be useful to revitalize and nurture mature skin. May also provide relief for bronchitis and colds when used in a diffuser or vaporizer. Reduces wrinkling antiseptic and anti-fungal. Heavy warm base note.
